The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27,732 up 105 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,503 up 35 points.
The rupee opened lower by four paise at 67.17/$ against US Dollar Tuesday as against the previous close of 67.17/$.
Asian markets are trading higher. Japan's Nikkei surged 2.58%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.75% and Taiwan Weighted jumped 0.58%.
On Monday, the BSE Sensex jumped 500 points to close at 27,627, its highest since August 2015, while the broader Nifty also settled at an 11-month high of 8,474.
On the economy front, data for industrial production for May are due on Tuesday.
