Stock Market Open News Today: HDFC Bank stock price

The market has opened in green terrain. The Sensex is up 33.74 points at 22499.93, and the Nifty is up 9.70 points at 6724.95. Ranbaxy is down 3 percent as its deal with Sun Pharma is facing hurdles. Bharti Airtel is up 2 percent on the back of March quarter earnings announced last night after market hours.
The Indian rupee opened higher by 10 paise at 60.61 per dollar as against previous day's closing value of 60.71 a dollar. NS Venkatesh of IDBI Bank said that, "The Fed is expected to continue with the cut in asset purchase programme by USD 10 billion. The tone is expected to remain dovish and, as a result, dollar is expected to weaken marginally in today's trade."

Indian rupee has opened flat at 61.06 a dollar on Friday as against Wednesday's closing value of 61.07 a dollar.Pramit Brahmbhatt,Veracity India says Asian markets have opened on a weak note. "Indian equity is also expected to trade weak which will force rupee to depreciate further coupled with the month-end dollar demand from the oil importers," he adds.

Nifty futures traded on the Singapore Exchange are down 0.05 percent, while the MSCI-Asia Pacific excluding Japan index is up 0.01 percent. Asian shares crept higher on Wednesday following merger-driven gains in Europe and on Wall Street, though investors were wary in case coming figures on Chinese manufacturing again disappointed. U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday as a host of solid earnings reports, along with strength in the healthcare sector, helped lift the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to their sixt.
        Sensex, on Tuesday, fell by 6 points and closed at 22,758, as the momentum waned ahead of the expiry of monthly derivative contracts.
        Among the stocks, Sesa Sterlite , Wipro  and SBI  were the ones which declined the most while among sector indices, Teck, IT and Metal ended on a negative note. Market breadth was, however, positive with 1,525 advances against 1,324 declines.
        US markets ended on a positive note with Dow Jones and Nasdaq up by 0.4 percent and 1 percent respectively, amid signs of improving corporate earnings. Today, US markets will witness data releases on New Home Sales.
        Asian markets are trading mixed with Nikkei up by 0.7 percent while Hang Seng down by 0.3 percent. SGX Nifty is trading down by 4 points at 6,833.

Indian Market Eyes
Indian shares are likely to open flat and trade slightly positive, tracking firm Asian cues, traders say.
However, investors would be cautious as shares surged to a record high on Monday and profit-taking could emerge at higher levels, they said.
Shares in HDFC Bank will be in focus on Tuesday as the private sector lender is set to announce its Jan-March earnings on Tuesday.
