एचडीएफसी सिक्योरिटीज में हेड ऑफ सेल्स, पराग ठक्कर का कहना है कि जब भी किसी भी सेक्टर का बुरा दौर चल रहा है, तो उस सेक्टर के शेयरों में जरूर खरीदारी करनी चाहिए। कभी मेटल में 200 रुपये के भाव पर मॉयल में खरीदारी की सलाह दी है, और आज इसका भाव 350 रुपये के आसपास है। लिहाजा बुरे माहौल में किया गया निवेश आगे चलकर अच्छे रिटर्न देने का पूरा दमखम जरूर रखता है। हालांकि, अभी मौजूदा माहौल में मेटल में ज्यादा तेजी की रणनीति बनाने की सलाह नहीं होगी। लेकिन मेटल में नाल्को में खरीदारी की जा सकती है, क्योंकि यहां ज्यादा तेजी देखने को नहीं मिली है।

पराग ठक्कर के मुताबिक आईटी सेक्टर में अभी छोटी तेजी दिख चुकी है। साथ ही यूस बैंकिंग के मुनाफे में बढ़त दिखी है जिससे आगे आईटी पर खर्च बढ़ने के आसार हैं। वहीं हाल में टीसीएस की कमेंटरी काफी पॉजिटिव रही थी, ऐसे में अगर आईटी शेयरों में पोजीशन है तो उसे जरूर बनाए रखें। एचसीएल टेक का 12-14 फीसदी की ग्रोथ का गाइडेंस है, जो काफी अच्छा कहा जा सकता है। लिहाजा आईटी शेयरों में एचसीएल टेक में निवेश करना सुरक्षित दांव हो सकता है। आईटी शेयरों में टीसीएस पर भी फोकस किया जा सकता है।

पराग ठक्कर ने कहा कि शहरी इलाकों में घरों के निर्माण में सुस्ती रहने का अनुमान है, जबकि ग्रामीण इलाकों में भी 1-2 तिमाहियों तक यही स्थिति बनी रह सकती है। हालांकि 1-2 तिमाहियों के बाद ग्रामीण इलाकों में इंफ्रा से जुड़ी गतिविधियों में तेजी देखने को मिल सकती है। इस लिहाज से सीमेंट शेयरों में ग्रासिम पर फोकस करना चाहिए।

वहीं ऑटो सेक्टर पर अपनी राय देते हुए पराग ठक्कर ने कहा कि 15 दिसंबर के बाद डॉलर की तेजी थम सकती है, ऐसे में एफआईआई की बिकवाली भी रुक जाएगी। नोटबंदी से ऑटो शेयरों में काफी करेक्शन देखने को मिला है, ऐसे में मौजूदा स्तरों पर ऑटो शेयरों में खरीदारी करने का काफी अच्छा मौका नजर आ रहा है। हालांकि ऑटो शेयरों में एक साथ सारा पैसा ना डालें, बल्कि हर गिरावट पर धीरे-धीरे निवेश की रणनीति अपनाएं। ऑटो शेयरों में मारुति सुजुकी, हीरो मोटोकॉर्प और बजाज ऑटो में निवेश करने का अच्छा मौका है।

MCX Gold futures dropped near Rs 28600 per 10 grams as the massive selling pressure in global market hit the local futures. COMEX Gold is currently trading around its nine month low and sentiments have turned heavily against the metal after prices fell below $1200 per ounce. However, the traders are a bit cautious ahead of the Thanksgiving Day holiday in US and a further drop from hereon could be curtailed due to limited trading activity. COMEX Gold is quoting around $1188 per ounce, down 0.22% on the day. MCX Gold futures are trading at Rs 28730 per 10 grams, down 0.34% on the day.

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 46.73 per barrel (bbl) on 23.11.2016. This was higher than the price of US$ 46.58 per bbl on previous publishing day of 22.11.2016.

डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपये में कमजोरी बढ़ गई है और ये रिकॉर्ड निचले स्तर पर आ गया है। फिलहाल डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 68.70 के आसपास कारोबार कर रहा है। दिग्गज एजेंसियों ने रुपये में और कमजोरी बढ़ने की आशंका जताई है। डॉएश बैंक ने कहा है दिसंबर के अंत तक डॉलर की कीमत 70 रुपये तक जा सकती है। वहीं बार्कलेज ने भी रुपये को 70 तक टूटने का अनुमान दिया है। सीएलएसए को भी लगता है कि डॉलर की कीमत 70 रुपये तक जाने की पूरी संभावना है।

दरअसल अमेरिका में अगले महीने ब्याज दरें बढ़ने की संभावना बढ़कर 94 फीसदी पर चली गई है, ऐसे में डॉलर 14 साल की ऊंचाई पर है। अमेरिका में इकोनॉमी के अच्छे आंकड़ों से भी डॉलर को सपोर्ट मिला है, जबकि नोटबंदी से घरेलू बाजार में रुपये पर दोहरा दबाव है।

The BSE 30-share barometer trades in the green on Wednesday. The gauge had gained 195.64 points in the previous session. Sectoral indices led by capital goods, metal and realty stocks were in the green. The NSE Nifty, too, is trading higher. Brokers said increased buying in select stocks coupled with covering-up of outstanding short positions ahead of the expiry had a positive impact. A firm trend on other Asian bourses following record closing at the US markets too influenced sentiments, they said.

1.00pm: The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex is currently trading higher by 52 points, or 0.20%, to 26,013, while the Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rises 14 points, or 0.17%, to 8,016. Tata Steel rises 2.65% to Rs388 at 1.05pm.  

12.33pm: DLF Ltd rose 3.24% to Rs 114.60 after huge block deal. Around 1.16 million equity shares of the company changed hands in a block deal. 

12.20pm: The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex is currently trading higher by 12 points, or 0.04%, to 26,972, while the Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) rises 2.65 points, or 0.03%, to 8,005.  

12.05pm: Healthcare companies are trading higher. Lupin Ltd rose 0.9%, Cipla Ltd rose 0.7%, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd 0.5%, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd 0.4%.

Domestic sentiment was also hit due to uncertainty sparked by the country's move to withdraw larger banknotes from circulation.  

At 1.20 p.m., the 30-share BSE index Sensex was down 554.12 points or 2,01 per cent at 27,037.02 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty was down 182.85 points or 2.14 per cent at 8,360.70.  

Among BSE sectoral indices, realty index plunged the most by 13.76 per cent, consumer durables 7.08 per cent, infrastructure 4.36 per cent and auto 4.28 per cent.  

Major Sensex losers were Adani Ports (-6.34%), Hero MotoCorp (-6.31%), ICICI Bank (-5.37%), TCS (-4.81%) and Maruti (-4.35%).  

Early trade  

The Sensex opened sharply lower at 26,251.38 points and moved further down within seconds to touch a low of 25,902.45 points — down 1,689 points from its previous close — with all 30 stocks from the benchmark index trading deep in the red.  

However, buying at lower levels helped the Sensex to recover some lost ground in the afternoon trade.  

The overall investors’ wealth, measured in terms of valuation of all listed stocks, was down by nearly Rs. 6 lakh crore in early morning trade from nearly Rs. 111.44 lakh crore at the end of yesterday’s trade.

At 9:35 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27,563 up 104 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,526 up 28 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.35% at 12,959 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.71% at 13,123.
          Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Dr Reddy's and Asian Paints are among the gainers, whereas ITC, HDFC, Adani Ports, L&T, HDFC Bank and M&M are losing sheen on NSE. Some buying activity is seen in auto, industrial, realty, consumer durables and IT sectors, while FMCG is showing weakness on BSE.
        The INDIA VIX is down 0.51% at 16.4225. Out of 1,861 stocks traded on the NSE, 389 declined, 1,064 advanced and 408 remained unchanged today. A total of 18 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while three stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

10.30am: Eclerex Services Ltd falls 8.2% to Rs1,534.35 on the back of higher volumes.  

10.20am: Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd falls 5% to Rs4,271.95 after the company said its net profit for the September quarter fell 31.7% to Rs37.92 crore against Rs55.54 crore a year ago.  

10.10am: IIFL Holdings Ltd rises 5% to Rs296.85 after the company said its September quarter rose 31% from a year ago to Rs183 crore.  

10.00am: ITC Ltd rises 1.4% to Rs242.20 after the company said its second-quarter profit rose 10.5% from a year earlier largely on account of an increase in operating profit from its cigarette business. Net profit rose to Rs2,500 crore in the three months ended 30 September from Rs2,262.5 crore a year ago, the company said on Thursday.

Domestic equity markets showed good amount of resilience near the resistance levels of 8,690-8,710 zones as it resisted to these levels throughout the day on Thursday while it ended the day with modest gains. On Friday, we will continue to see the Nifty trading with resilience with somewhat positive bias and the levels of 8,690-8,710 will remain important to watch out for. There are chances that the Nifty will attempt to resume its up move if it manages to move past 8,750 levels.  

This chances of this happening remain relatively high given the pattern of the lead indicators. On Friday, the levels of 8,710 and 8,755 will act as immediate resistance levels. The supports come in at 8,655 and 8,625 levels. The RSI—Relative Strength Index on the Daily Chart is 50.7563 and it remains neutral as it shows no bullish or bearish divergence or any failure swings. The Daily MACD remains bearish as it trades below its signal line. However, it is likely that it reports a positive crossover if the markets do not weaken and if it consolidates in coming days.  

On the derivative front, the Nifty October futures have added over 6.45 lakh shares or 3.59 per cent in Open Interest. This throw a significant input which suggests that unwinding has stopped and so has short covering and fresh longs are seen being built in the system.

At 9:15 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,032 up 47 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,693 up 34 points. Asian markets traded in the green as overnight Oil prices rallied above US$ 51 which saw energy stocks lead the way forward on the Dow Jones index.

The final US presidential debate came to a close with Trump labelling Hillary as ‘a nasty woman’ while she was describing her plan to raise taxes on the wealthy to fund Social Security. The jury is still out on how fortunes could turn in this election. The markets will have to focus on earnings and global developments. The Indian banking system has been hit by cyber-attacks, which have been on a rise worldwide. Over 3 million debit cards have reportedly been compromised.  

Banking stocks could see some weakness initially. Reliance will be in focus as it is set to report yet another quarter of strong performance in its core business of refining and petrochemicals. Canada, Brazil & Russia are the main markets where indices are touching new highs regularly which could see the spill over lead to other indices.
