Market down Nifty falls 101 point
The BSE Sensex ended 371 points lower
to close below the 25,000 mark and the 50-shares Nifty closed 101 points lower
at 7,615 level. Recent gainers like metal, energy and pharma stocks led the
selloff in markets today. Vedanta was the top loser in Nifty down 9.4 per cent
followed by Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel which fell 8.43 per cent and
5.44 per cent respectively. Sun Pharma and SBI also fell over 4 per cent to
drag markets lower.
Meanwhile, Power Grid, Kotak Mahindra Bank,
Bosch and NTPC rose over 1 per cent each to become the prominent gainers in
Nifty. Out of the 50 shares in Nifty, 15 stocks ended higher while 35 shares
ended lower. Markets recover from intraday low, Sensex down 356 points at
24,981 while Nifty trades at 7,622, falls 94 points.today's correction in metal
stocks is a very good opportunity to build long position in Hindalco, Tata
Steel.
if Nifty holds 7,500 level then it is
highly likely that it will touch 7,900 in coming days. Out of the 50 shares in Nifty, 42 are in red
and 8 stocks are in green. Broader markets also succumb to profit booking. The
BSE midcap index is down 1.45 per cent and the smallcap index falls 1.6 per
cent.
