Trading Tips - : Nifty 50 Logs biggest Intra-day gain The BSE S&P Sensex closed at
23,554.12, up 2.47 per cent or 568 points. The NSE's Nifty50 ended at 7,162.95,
up 2.61 per cent or 182 points. Both the Sensex and Nifty50 lost close to 7 per
cent last week, to end at 22,986.12 and 6,980.95, respectively. Metal stocks
emerged as the biggest gainers, with the BSE metal index gaining 9 per cent.
Vedanta (up 18.25 per cent), NMDC (up 14.10 per cent) and Jindal Steel (up
13.80 per cent) led the rally in the metals pack.A number of stocks made
massive intra-day gains: Tata SteelBSE 13.01 % saw the highest intra-day surge
in 25 years, Vendanta posted its highest intraday percentage gain since June
2002, L&T rose the most since February 1991, and NMDC since 2002.
