Stock Market Closing News
The market has ended on a flat note after hitting record
highs in early session. The Sensex was up 6.10 points at 27874.73 and the Nifty
gained 7.25 points at 8344.25. About 1519 shares advanced, 1503 shares
declined, and 104 shares were unchanged.
ITC was up 4 percent while Sun Pharma, Coal India, Tata
Power and HUL were up around 2 percent each. ONGC was down 3.5 percent while
Hindalco, L&T, Tata Motors and Axis Bank were major laggards in the Sensex.
