The market may open slightly higher tracking firmness in
Asian stocks. Asian share markets were trying to rally today as dovish comments
from the head of the US Federal Reserve coupled with an upbeat economic
assessment from the central bank to lift Wall Street for a third straight
session.

HCL Tech says financial services business grew 6.8 percent and manufacturing growth was at 2 percent on sequential basis. Growth in infrastructure services business, which has highest weightage in revenues, stood at 5.1 percent while business services growth was at negative 0.7 percent.

The Indian rupee opened flat at 60.29 per dollar versus
60.37 Wednesday. The yen wallowed at one-week lows against the dollar, having
eased broadly overnight as a rally in global stocks dented demand for the
safe-haven currency.
The market sees a slight upmove in opening as the Nifty
is still below 6700. The Nifty is up 20.15 points at 6695.45 and the Sensex is
up 50.53 points at 22327.76. About 290 shares have advanced, 85 shares
declined, and 18 shares are unchanged.
